Serial Space is opening its doors for some more creatives to get involved.

Serial Space encourages the production of new and experimental artworks for artists working across performance, sound and visual arts. We aim to provide a supportive framework for developing work which is socially engaged, non-commercially orientated, critical, experimental and/or process and research based.
We are now accepting applications for Onsite Developments, Exhibitions and Workshops.

There are a few different things on offer. You could try for an artist residency, which gets you $500, one week access to the gallery space to install, and a one week exhibition, with your work displayed publicity on their web-site and a monthly colour flyer. Not only that but you get to access to a projector, PA, TV, tools and OCP (where possible).

Sound like too much commitment for you? No problem! Just go for hosting an exhibition. Artists receive access to the gallery for one or two weeks, loan of equipment (as listed above), and your work displayed publicity on their web-site and a monthly colour flyer. And it only costs $100 per week! The gallery is open Thurs – Sun, 11am to 6pm (or by appointment) with the responsibility of staffing these opening hours left in your hands. Pretty sweet eh?

Perhaps you have a certain expertise and want to share your wealth of knowledge? Well Serial Space host free workshops where participants learn from individuals with unique expertise in a particular area. And they will provide the presenter with $100 to cover costs or materials.

Interested? You should be! Happenstance had our launch here, and it was nothing short of a pleasure to work with these guys.
