Underground film festivals are great. It’s kinda like going into a film nuts bedroom, sifting through their ridiculously large collection of movies, choosing 20 titles you have never heard of, and putting them up on the big screen. Some will be hit and miss, but it’s always a great opportunity to expand on your cult cinema bragging rights. Right? Right.
The Sydney Underground Film Festival is so underground that they even have a splash page on their website. Dude, that’s so 1999. Genius.
Kicking off in two days, the Sydney Underground Film Festival is filled with some pretty obscure titles. It does however, feature my favourite movie of all time Pink Flamingos. Couple that with the fact that KAMAHL is doing a special one-off performance on opening night, I’m fucking there.
