The general public just may not care too much about typography. This was the conclusion we came to after seeing all the shitty signage that was set in Bauhaus and Papyrus in our round-a-bout trip to pick up issue 2. I mean let’s face it, the topic of well kerned letters, legible leading, and a word per line ratio probably should be left to design and type geeks so as not to put your friends to sleep over dinner or at a party (yes, this has happened to me before), but this doesn’t mean we can’t all appreciate typography in one form or another.

Enter Go Font Yourself*, and Some Type of Wonderful, two type exhibitions held back to back over this week and next featuring amazing work by Jessica Hische, SOPP Collective, Marta Cerda Alimbau, Jonathan Zawada, Luca Barcellona andI shot the Siggi Eggertsson. Even if you don’t give two shits about kerning you gotta appreciate bright colours and exhibitions with puns for names right?

See you there!
