Happenstance is proud to be associated with 30 x 40, a snapshot of contemporary art practice presented by United Galleries.

Featuring both up-and-coming talent and established mid-career artists, 30 x 40 represents some of the best work in Australian contemporary art, and aims to put the art of 2009 it in its historical context.

From painting to drawing, photography to print-making, 30 x 40 showcases a diverse range of styles and talent with one requisite: all the canvases measure 30 x 40 cm.

With artists like Margaret Ackland, Ben Ali Ong, Kieran Antill, Sam Ash, Susan Baird, Erin Flannery, Simon Lovelace and a whole host more, 30 x 40 will be a defining exhibition for 2009.

30 x 40 opens by RSVP at United Galleries, 179 Palmer Street, Darlinghurst on June 4, and runs until July 4. Check out the exhibition preview here.
